The establishment of SDP’s privately owned production facility for plasticizer signaled SDP’s initial venture into plasticizer chemicals manufacturing.
To meet the growing demand for specialty chemicals, SDP has seized opportunities in building its own production plant in Serang, West Java, with capacity of 30,000 metric ton (MT) per year. To date, with high level of efficiency reinforced by strong marketing skills, SDP is even ready to extend its annual production capacity up to 60,000 MT, going forward.
SDP’s plasticizer products are vital components in the manufacturing process used in the production of PVC plastics. SDP’s plasticizers are grouped into Dioctyl Phthalate (DOP) and Diisononyl Phthalate (DINP).

Delivery to Customers
Although SDP’s products already adhere to, or surpass, the industry standards, the company’s approach to quality involves the constant refinement and improvement of its products and processes.
Strict adherence to the industry standards coupled with the highest level of operational efficiency, are being SDP’s two primary objectives in terms of quality. Meanwhile, to ensure that SDP’s customers are always getting the highest quality products, SDP implements the most rigid quality control standards, from the raw materials up to the finished intermediate products. Only those that pass the highest level of quality are acceptable, to guaranteeing the quality of the end products.

Within each of the above QC phase, SDP applies Gas Chromathography method to ensure that high quality level materials have been manufactured according to the specifications required by the production.
Post the final delivery to customers, SDP keeps monitoring its product quality. For instance is by taking random samples from an average of three to four customers each month to control the quality level. As a follow up, feedback obtained from this sampling process is used to develop ways of improving the quality of SDP’s products and processes. Besides, SDP also communicates with its customers in line with the effort to constantly make quality adjustments on later production being run. Among others is through regular questionnaire that the company distributes to customers to receive more feedback as part of SDP’s continuous improvement initiative.
